Bus Tour Around the island

Embark on a captivating journey from Naxos town, traversing the Tragaia valley. Explore Damalas’ pottery workshop, Halki’s Byzantine gems, and Panagia Drosiani, one of the Balkans’ oldest churches. Apiranthos unveils marble allure and intriguing museums. The route continues through Koronos, Skado, and Mesi to Apollonas, home to an unfinished Kouros statue. Lunch and swimming await before returning via the scenic northwestern coastal road, featuring the Tower of Agia, Faneromeni monastery, and Eggares village with its restored olive press.

Damalas & Haiki Villages

Starting from Naxos town and through the valley of Tragaia, we stop outside the village of Damalas where we visit the pottery workshop. Next stop the village of Halki with its country houses, the Byzantine church of Panagia Protothroni and the citrus distillery.

Panagia Drosiani & Apiranthos

Then we visit the Byzantine church of Panagia Drosiani, near the village of Moni, which is considered to be one of the oldest in the Balkans. Next stop is Apiranthos village with its marble paved alleys and its 4 small museums: The Archaeological Museum , the Geological Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Folklore Museum.

Koronos, Skado and Mesi & Apollonas

Passing by the villages of Koronos, Skado and Mesi, we arrive at the northern village of the island, Apollonas, where there is an unfinished Kouros statue. Finally its time for lunch and swimming.

The Monastery of Faneromeni 

We return to town by the northwestern costal road, where we find the Tower of Agiathe monastery of Faneromeni (17th cent.) and the village of Eggares, where we visit a restored olive press.
